Main Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
The Bible teaches us that in everything, we should give thanks. This means that in every situation, we must give God thanks. I’m sure you’re saying, “In my bad situations, I give God thanks? When I’m going through something, I give God thanks?” Yes! The Bible says, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” We’re not giving God thanks just because we’re going through something bad, but we’re giving God thanks because we know who He is! We are trusting that God will and can bring us through whatever we’re going through. And even if God doesn’t bring us through right away, I’m still going to give Him thanks because He is God and God alone!
So yes, I will give God praise in everything!
Not just because I’m going through a situation, but I’m giving God praise and thanks because I’m thanking Him for who He is, and I’m trusting in who He is. So the next time you’re giving God thanks in a situation and someone asks you, “Why are you praising God in that bad situation?” You let them know,”I’m giving God praise because I know that God is capable and able to do anything! And even if He doesn’t bring me through this, He’s already done enough, and He is God!” Come on, give Him praise!

Before you get started with your day, start thanking God! Don’t think about asking Him for anything or complaining about your day. Just thank Him because He’s good and He’s God!
