Thursday’s Devotion Topic: Meditate on His Word! Scripture: Joshua 1:8
Introduction
Many people today are willing to sell their souls to gain wealth, riches, and many other things.
We can see in Scripture how the devil tempted Jesus while He was fasting for 40 days and 40 nights. The devil offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and their glory if He would bow down and worship him.
Many people today are selling themselves out in order to receive benefits or pleasures that will not last. We cannot allow ourselves to sell out!
We must trust in God in everything that we do, knowing that when we serve Him, it will pay off in the end.
Just like we often say, “The grass looks greener on the other side.” However, we don’t always understand what people have gone through to get where they are today.
We don’t know the challenges they have faced, the sacrifices they have made, or the journey they have taken to get where they are today. But we must be careful not to compromise our relationship with God just to obtain what someone else has.
We must make sure that we are listening to God, following Him, asking Him for guidance, and staying true to His Word.
So, join me this week as we go into our daily devotion series, “DON’T SELL OUT!”

Friday, October 16, 2026 Topic: Live for Him Scripture: James 1:22 (KJV) “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
Do you really love Jesus?
Many of us say that we love Jesus, but are our actions showing that we truly love Him? The Bible tells us in John 14:15, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
Many people today call themselves Christians. They say that they truly love the Lord, but are their actions demonstrating that love? Some are hating their enemies, wishing death upon others, and not being obedient to what God has commanded us to do.
When you say that you love someone, you love that person with your heart. You do whatever you can to make sure that your actions are not displeasing to that person. The same should apply to our relationship with Jesus Christ. If we truly love Him, we should desire to live a life that is pleasing to Him.
So, I want you to really think about this question throughout this week: Do I really love Jesus?
When people see me, do they see an example of Christ? When they hear me speak, do they hear words that reflect Christ? When they observe how I treat others, do my actions demonstrate the love of Christ?
We cannot just show love to people we like or those who agree with us. We must also demonstrate love toward those we disagree with. The Bible encourages us in Matthew 5:44 to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us.
Loving Jesus is more than just saying it with our mouths. Our love for Him should be demonstrated through our obedience, our actions, our relationship with Him, and how we treat others.
So, I ask you again: Do you really love Jesus? And if you do, is your life showing it?
Join me this week as we dive into our new weekly devotion series, “Do You Really Love Jesus?”Together, we will examine the different ways we can demonstrate our love for Jesus Christ.

Wednesday Topic: Having Genuine Faith
Do You Believe?
Many of us say we believe in Jesus, but we are like the ones who only wanted to see the signs to believe instead of believing what the Word was telling them.
So my question for you is: Do you believe in Jesus?
Some of us say we are followers of Christ but don’t truly believe in Him. We say we love Him, but don’t do what He asks of us.
To believe in something means we accept it as true within our hearts without physically seeing it. This is what Jesus was showing those who were questioning who He was. Even after hearing His words and following Him, some withdrew from Him because they truly weren’t believers.
So this week, we will talk on the topic “Do You Believe?” and what it looks like when you truly believe.
Join me this week for a great Word!

Thursday Topic: Surrender What You Depend On
Introduction:
I want to ask you a question today: What are you replacing God with? I want you to really think about that.
We all say that we love God. We say we want to do what He asks us to do, but what are we replacing God with?
I was talking to someone the other day, and we got on the subject of drinking. Now, I’m not here to judge anyone at all, but the person asked me, “Do you not drink?” I said, “No.” They asked me why, and I told them, “I just choose not to drink. Drinking is just not for me.”
But then I asked them the same question: “Why do you drink?” They said, “It makes me feel good. It gets me in a good mood.”
That made me think: Are we replacing God with things that only make us feel good for a few minutes or maybe a few hours, rather than seeking what God desires for us?
I know we want to have fun. I know sometimes we want to do what we want to do. But when you fully begin to walk in your purpose and truly desire to follow Christ, God will start changing your way of thinking. The things you used to think were okay may not have the same hold on you anymore.
And I’m talking to those of us who truly desire to follow Christ.
As we continue walking with Christ and submitting ourselves to Him, some of the things we used to depend on don’t become as important anymore. We don’t desire them the same way anymore. That’s what I’m trying to get us to understand.
We have to submit ourselves unto God and allow Him to change us. God can replace the things we thought we needed with what He has for us. And what God has for us is greater than anything else that can temporarily make us feel good.
So ask yourself again: What are you replacing God with?
Are you choosing to drink your problems away rather than talking to God about your problems and giving them to Him?
When you’re stressed, are you choosing a substance to make you feel more relaxed rather than talking with God in prayer?
And I’m not just talking about drinking or smoking. I’m talking about anything we begin to depend on more than we depend on God.
It could be our lustful desires. It could be overindulging in food. It could be gossiping. It could be lying. It could be anything that begins to consume our attention and take God’s place in our lives.
We have to submit ourselves unto God and learn to depend on Him more than we depend on anything else.
Because at the end of the day, God has everything we need. Everything else in this life will eventually fade away, but God will remain. His Word will remain.
So learn to depend on God. Learn to trust Him. Learn to go to Him first.
And ask yourself today:
What am I depending on that I need to surrender to God? Because nothing should ever take God’s place in our lives.

Can God Trust You?
That’s something to think about: Am I truly faithful to God?
God is faithful to us in everything He does. We can find His consistent love, care, and protection in our lives. We must examine ourselves, asking: Can God truly trust us with His Word, with the gifts He gives us, through our talents, how we treat one another, and how we give?
We are going to be asking questions about faithfulness, ensuring that we take a good look at our lives and see: Are we truly faithful to God as He is faithful to us?
