TUESDAY DEVOTION
The Bible encourages us to bring our burdens, worries, and cares to God. When the Bible tells us to cast our burdens on the Lord, it implies a deliberate choice to let go, give up, and give it to the Lord. God is saying, “Give Me your burdens. Lay them down.” You don’t have to carry these things alone. But if we’re honest, many of us carry things that God has already told us to leave with Him. So let me ask you, What are you carrying that you have not given to God yet?
Is it a situation you’re still angry about from years ago? Is it something someone did to you that you still haven’t let go of? Is it a disappointment?
Is it hurt? Is it worry about your future? Is it something that happened that you keep replaying over and over again in your mind? Some of us are carrying things that God never intended for us to carry. And some of us are carrying things all the way to the grave that we could have given to God. Don’t allow your burden to weigh you down when you can give it to the One who can carry it and help you through it. You don’t have to figure everything out today. You don’t have to carry everything by yourself. You don’t have to keep holding on to what God is asking you to release.
Give it to God. And when you give it to Him, leave it there. Let God carry what you were never meant to carry alone.
