Topic: Obey My Word
Scripture: 1 John 5:3 “In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,”
Loving God isn’t merely a verbal expression or an emotional feeling, but it’s an action. When we say we love God, we must show that we love Him through our actions and obedience to Him. This obedience is an ongoing and intentional practice that we do every day. The way we obey God is by studying and meditating on His Word every day, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide our thoughts and actions. God tells us that doing what He asks us to do isn’t burdensome. We have the Holy Spirit, who will help guide us and show us how to actively live out His Word every day. We must view obedience to God as a natural expression of our love for Him, one that brings joy and fulfillment rather than a burden. Love my enemies
