Wednesday’s Devotion
Topic: Speak the Word of God!
Scripture: Matthew 4:4
“Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’””
Matthew 4:4 NIV
Speak the Word of God when you are being tempted! We can see in Scripture that when Jesus was tempted by Satan, He said, “It is written.” And that’s exactly what we must do!
We must speak the Word of God when Satan comes against us or when we face difficult situations. What are you choosing to speak when you are being tempted? When Satan says you can’t, tell him, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me!” When Satan says you will die, tell him, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD!” When people say you are not rich, let them know that your Father is rich! He has houses and lands and holds the whole world in His hands! We must choose to use the Word. We must choose to speak the Word. And we must choose to live this Word out every day!
So, the next time you’re being challenged or tempted, SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD!
